|
Two miles from Hendra, down twisting lanes, on the western slopes of Bodmin Moor lies Blisland. It is a quiet village, with a village green (a rare thing in Cornwall). Georgian and Victorian houses and cottages, a forge, manor
house, school household inn (The Blisland Inn) and rectory, all grouped
round the green in their original Saxon plan.
The Blisland Inn, is a medieval pub serving on any one day, up to 4 guest Real Ales some from small local breweries. Gary, the Landlord, has personally drunk two pints of each of the two thousand different guest ales that he's served over the last three years.
The pub has a lot of charm and ambience and is a real find for the CAMRA fan. This pub which also serves blackboard food specials is certainly worth a visit.
