Only Scotland has more golf courses per head of population than North Cornwall - and the pick of the Cornish courses are right here in the north of the county with a variety such that you won't know where to tee up first.

Bude Golf Course

You might choose to start with Trevose Golf Club, Peter Alliss's favourite Cornish course, overlooking the majestic sweep of Constantine Bay. You can play any of three courses here, each of which will have your handicap running for cover.

Across the Camel Estuary, you'll be tempted by the Roserrow Golf and Country Club, offering luxurious facilities and a parkland course which will stretch experienced golfers yet not intimidate newcomers. Trethorne Golf Course, a short drive away and once described by Fore magazine as probably the best 9-hole course in the country, is now an 18-hole course. And the news is that the new holes are even better.

If you're new to the game, then head for the pay-and-play course at St Kew. They'll hire you all the gear you need - even a motorised buggy - and there's a driving range where you can limber up.

Why not let Chris or Christine arrange your golf date?, or you can contact the golf courses directly for more information:
